Virtual Design Construction (VDC)
Nelson Stark's VDC team of five uses Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and Stratus to coordinate plumbing systems with every other trade on the job before installation begins. Conflicts get caught on screen, not in the field.
How Nelson Stark uses BIM:
- 3D modeling of plumbing systems for clash detection with mechanical, electrical, and fire protection
- Trade coordination with other subcontractors before installation
- Field layout from coordinated models
- Integration with pre-fabrication workflow
BIM
During the construction of any project, the coordination of the trades is an integral part of the process, especially with respect to the mechanical trades.
The Nelson Stark Company has invested heavily in technology and innovations over the years to become a leader in the BIM (Building Information Modeling) area. We are committed to maximizing both efficiency on a project and the value to our customers.
